For \u003cstrong\u003eRattigan\u003c\/strong\u003e, though, it’s all that and more. “\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEast My Love\u003c\/strong\u003e is an album I wrote at a low point, where I was struggling with a lot of mental health stuff,”\u003c\/em\u003e he says. “\u003cem\u003eWriting it was like my comfort blanket. In all of the madness that was happening in my mind, I was trying to soothe my soul with country music and transcendental folk – messages to myself from a different place.”\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRattigan\u003c\/strong\u003e wrote \u003cstrong\u003eEast My Love\u003c\/strong\u003e alone in the woods in Tennessee, with no cell reception and nobody in earshot for miles.
