It is a fitting follow up to the A side track. There is a sweet dissonance that comes across in Larkin’s modal melody and mimicked guitar line, which is guided by the wandering vocal part. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e‘You Maintain the Stain’ and ‘Cut It Open’ set a strong tone for what is to come. \u003cstrong\u003eMermaidens\u003c\/strong\u003e are in new terrain; exploring power and control in a confronting lens.
