The result was a disc evenly divided between \u003cstrong\u003eMason's\u003c\/strong\u003e catchy folk-rock compositions and \u003cstrong\u003eSteve Winwood's\u003c\/strong\u003e compelling rock jams.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMason's\u003c\/strong\u003e material was the most appealing both initially and eventually: the lead-off track, a jaunty effort called \u003cstrong\u003e\"You Can All Join In,\"\u003c\/strong\u003e became a European hit, and \u003cstrong\u003e\"Feelin' Alright?\"\u003c\/strong\u003e turned out to be the only real standard to emerge from the album after it started earning cover versions from Joe Cocker and others in the 1970s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWinwood's\u003c\/strong\u003e efforts, with their haunting keyboard-based melodies augmented by \u003cstrong\u003eChris Wood's\u003c\/strong\u003e reed work and \u003cstrong\u003eJim Capaldi's\u003c\/strong\u003e exotic rhythms, work well with lyricist \u003cstrong\u003eCapaldi's\u003c\/strong\u003e words, which tend to be impressionistic reveries, but the lyrics to \u003cstrong\u003eWinwood\/Capaldi\u003c\/strong\u003e compositions take a back seat to the playing and \u003cstrong\u003eWinwood's\u003c\/strong\u003e soulful voice.
