Beginning as an improv instrumental band, they were soon perfecting genre-hopping eclecticism and issuing recordings (often in cassette form) via frontman \u003cstrong\u003eMark Robinson's\u003c\/strong\u003e DIY label \u003cstrong\u003eTeenBeat\u003c\/strong\u003e, as well as on notable labels such as \u003cstrong\u003e4AD, Caroline, and Matador.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTheir last album, \u003cstrong\u003ePerfect Teeth\u003c\/strong\u003e features the latter year classic line-up of founding members \u003cstrong\u003eMark Robinson and Phil Krauth \u003c\/strong\u003eplus bassist \u003cstrong\u003eBridget Cross \u003c\/strong\u003e(the original lead singer of \u003cstrong\u003eVelocity Girl\u003c\/strong\u003e) and was recorded at \u003cstrong\u003ePachyderm Studio\u003c\/strong\u003e in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, in early 1993, mere days after \u003cstrong\u003eNirvana \u003c\/strong\u003ecompleted \u003cstrong\u003eIn Utero\u003c\/strong\u003e in the very same space. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBrian Paulson\u003c\/strong\u003e, who had produced \u003cstrong\u003eSlint’s\u003c\/strong\u003e seminal\u003cstrong\u003e Spiderland \u003c\/strong\u003ealbum, was asked to record the album and he chose the rural studio setting. \u003cstrong\u003eSimon LeBon\u003c\/strong\u003e produced; he was recently awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor this reissue, the album and bonus tracks have all been remastered – most from their original analogue tapes – and are sounding as great as ever.
